Estoy leyendo la segunda biografía de Dave Marsh dedicada a Bruce Springsteen, “Glory days”. De vuelta de la gira europea de “The River”, Springsteen encara una última pata de la gira por estadios cubiertos de USA. Según cuenta Marsh, en una de esas fechas un espectador disparó fuegos artificiales, a lo que Springsteen respondió deteniendo el recital y dedicándole estas palabras con las que me encontré justo ayer, el día en el que se cumplieron 6 años del desastre de República Cromañón.

“And I just want to say that I’m proud that everybody’s come down to see us. And whoever it is -and there’s only one person or two out of, I guess, twenty thousand people here tonight- that has to set off a firework in the middle of a song, the only thing I can…I can say is, you can do me a favor and never come back to one of my shows ever again. Because if you don’t…if you don’t have the respect for yourself, you should at least have respect for the people that are around you. And if you don’t have that, you should at least have the guts to do it where I can see you. Whoever you are, you’re no friend of mine”
